Praying for the Waitress

I was having lunch with Pastor Glenn Layne, of First Baptist Church in Temple City California when I saw him reach out in a very interesting way.

When she came with our food, Pastor Layne said, "We are going to be praying over our food, and I'd just like to know if there is anything we could pray about for you when we pray."

She was obviously very moved as she looked at us and opened up. She shared a couple of challenges she was facing. Glenn responded, very sincerely, "We'll make that a matter of prayer."

As we left the tip, Glenn left a tract with the church address printed on the back.
